tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th 1976) is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. The renowned player is considered to be one of most outstanding tight ends ever and the NFL's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards by a tight-end, while also ranking third overall in receptions. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons were in the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he received a selection as the 1st pick. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons for five of his final seasons. Gonzalez has retired in 2013 but was an analyst for football at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pro honors. Gonzalez was known for his toughness and ability to avoid fumbling. He was a part of 272 of the 272 games in the regular season and only fumbled twice with 1,327 touches. Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2019.
